Since 1997, Integrated mar.com has been surveying Canadian resellers to determine which vendors and distributors provide the best products, service, support, marketing assistance, return policies, warranties, etc. In 2003, resellers are judging 19 categories with the survey results published one category at a time, in bi-monthly dedicated special reports, which are sent to eChannelLine Daily News subscriber base.

Survey
ChannelLine Champ Surveys provide a unique market dynamic to the Canadian IT channel whereby 33,000+ channel members have the ability to tell vendors and distributors what they like and dislike about them, vis-à-vis competitive vendors. Speaking as a single voice behind a veil of anonymity, channel members tell vendors and distributors what they need to do to better support their channel partners.

Eligibility To Vote
All 33,000+ Canadian resellers: VARs; solution providers (XSPs); system integrators; system builders; retailers; e-tailers; telecom resellers; data enablers, etc.) who receive eChannelLine Daily News every morning are eligible to vote.

Survey Voting Process
This is a preference study that measures resellers' preferred vendor/distributor to do business with, and why. While it's product-based, it's all about the companies resellers do business with and how they like doing business with them. Answering the survey is simple and easy to do.

Eight categories are surveyed every four months (18 to 24 categories per year). In a two-part survey, resellers are first asked which companies they are familiar with and then asked to rate the most popular companies (all companies mentioned by 10% or more of the participating resellers in part one) in these categories according to specific criteria.

Channel Update Reports
Twice a month a special channel update report will be sent to eChannelLines' entire database that is dedicated to one of the 18 to 24 categories. This report will announce the winners and finalists in each category and their scores. Each report will also cover trends and provide information on how to sell and service solutions around the specific technology.

Format
  • Delivered via HTML email monthly to 33,000+ resellers as a special report from eChannelLine, Canada's definitive and best read source for IT&T news.
    • Approximately 88% sent to resellers, of which over 90% have purchased product through distribution within the last 90-days
    • Approximately 8% sent to vendors
    • Approximately 4% sent to distributors
    • Entire database is scrubbed daily
  • All recipients have the option to easily opt out at any time.
  • Each issue contains mar.com's highly effective format consisting of five "blurbs" that are one click away from the full feature article. Format allows resellers to quickly determine which articles they want to read, which they want to save and which they articles are not of interest to them.
  • Online search engine lets recipients easily find articles on topics of interest to them.
